Maryann G. Gajewski was born in Scheller, IL on September 12, 1922 a daughter to Jerome and Rose (nee Kosmatka) Kabat. She died at The Villa’s in De Soto on December 29, 2012 at the age of 90. She is survived by her two daughters: Patricia (Don) Schaeffer, De Soto, and Barbara (Richard) Decker, St. Charles; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Adolph H. Gajewski; one son: Ronald Gajewski; seven sisters: Irene Seimer,Nellie Sanker, Frances Grzechowiak, Sr. Helen Kabat,rc, Katie Ratajczyk, Julie Kabat, and Theresa Rynski; and two brothers: Philip Kabat and Tony Kabat. She was a member of St.Rose of Lima Circle 659 Daughters of Isabella, Columbia Anns, Joachim Social Club, and Sunrise Lake Ladies Club. Rev. Fr. Alexander Anderson will celebrate the funeral mass Wednsday, January 2, 2013 at 11:00am at St.Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks at 1:45pm Wednesday. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00am until 10;30am from the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
