George and family I have been out of town and just found out about your loss of Googs. I did not know her well just from class reunions mainly. My husband Russell Clifton knew George and Googs. Since Russell' s death I had seen Googs at Walmart several times and she always took time to ask how I was doing. I am very sorry for your loss, because I feel that she was a very important part of your lives. I'm sure she will be missed.

Googs was like my second mother. I loved her with all my heart. I truly believe she loved me like a son because she always lit up when she saw me. We used to be close friends 20 years ago but we drifted apart over the years. I will always cherish the times I had with her. I taught her to country dance and we used to bow hunt together. George would drop us off at our tree stands and come pick us up after dark. Googs would never shoot the deer. She just loved to watch them. Rest in piece Googs!

My condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with the Patterson family. I will best remember them for hosting my first boy/girl party in 7th (or 8th ) grade. It was scary and fun. Always fun to be around the Patterson's.

Googs was a great hearted lady. I’ve know her for as long as I can remember. George is like a brother/best friend to my dad and she was always sure to include him in their reunions and cabin festivities. For that, I will be forever grateful. He never left their house without Googs trying to feed him. She was a natural giver. Find comfort in the wonderful memories you share. She will be greatly missed.
