Lorenz Emil Steinbach was born June 20, 1927 in Hillsboro, MO. He was the son of Otto and Emilie M. (nee Linhorst) Steinbach. He died on September 3, 2014 at his residence in Hillsboro, MO at the age of 87. He is survived by his children, Fern (Russ) Bowder, Jefferson City, MO; Doris (Ernie) Rex, St. Charles, IL; Sandra (Gary) Lindsey, Hillsboro, MO; and Nancy Leonard, Hillsboro, MO; one sister, Edna Pooker, Crystal City, MO; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann (nee Bauman) Steinbach; siblings, Tillie Keisker, Ella Knoke, Herbert, Ernst, and Alvin Steinbach. Lorenz was an equipment operator for the Jefferson County Highway Department; and also a dairy farmer. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church, De Soto, MO.
