Lorene P. Harper Jonas was born May 9, 1918 in Cantwell, MO. She was the daughter of William “Jack” and Elizabeth (nee Walls) Wilkson.
She died on July 11, 2007 at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, MO at the age of 89 years 2 months 2 days.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Jonas, De Soto, MO; Two daughters, Shelby Jean (Dale) Shelley, De Soto, MO and Donna F. (Bill) Nickelson, Festus, MO; Four sons, Bob L. Harper, Higdon, AR, Bill W.(Mickey)Harper, Greers Ferry, AR, Paul (Janice)Harper, Bonne Terre, MO and Richard “David” (Ruth) Harper, O’Fallon, MO; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Harper; one daughter, Dixie Lee Harper; two sisters, Rosetta Borchelt and Opal Lavine; one brother, Alvin Wilkson; one great-grandson, Scott Queathem.
