Lester Sidney Wall was born May 8, 1933 in Mineral Point a son to Arthur W. and Mary Alice “Myrtle” (nee Trokey) Wall. He died at his De Soto home on August 1, 2014 at the age of 81. He is survived by four daughters: Bermeta Wall, Park Hills, Darlene Wall, De Soto, Angela (Travis Forshee) Fitzwater, De Soto, Sherrie Turner, Bonne Terre: four sons: Lester Wall Jr., Richwoods, Arthur (Becky) Wall, Richwoods, Robert (Vicki) Wall, St. Charles, and Willis Wall, Richwoods; two sisters: Thelma Boedecker, Festus, Janet Gibbs, De Soto; one brother: Everett Glen Wall, Denton, MD; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife : Anna Lee (nee Miller) Wall; one sister: Sally Thost, one brother: Oscar Wall; and a dear friend: Bobby Brown. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was held captive as a Prisoner of War for 33 months. Upon returning home he worked for and retired from Teamster’s Local #600 as well becoming an advocated for military veteran’s through his efforts in supporting V.F.W. Post #1831, Amvets Post #48, and the Jefferson County Chapter of the K.W.V.A. Dereck Jones of the First Assembly God Church- De Soto will officiate the services.
