Joyce Smith was born November 4, 1938 in Flat River, MO. She was the daughter of Charles and Lorraine Bertha (nee Politte) Henderson. She died on September 30, 2021 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis at the age of 82 years. She is survived by  two sons: Jimmy Dale (Patricia) Baldwin, Olympian Village, MO; and Alvin Baldwin, Mt. Vernon, TX; three daughters: Kathy (Bob Kincaid) Sampson, De Soto, Larronce Yvette (Rick) Sampson, Park Hills and Rae Jean (Joe) Holmes, De Soto; grandchildren, Everette Sampson, Rory Kincaid, Jim (Angie) Baldwin, Susan (Jeff) Schaeffer, Jon (Julie) Baldwin, Christopher Myers, Cassie (Rikki) Davis, Steven (Sam) Missey, and Jessica Smith; several grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Parmelly, Cedar Hill, MO and Alice (John) Bader, Farmington, MO, and sister-in-law JoAnn Henderson. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alvin Paul “A. P.” Baldwin; second husband, Lawrence Everett “Smitty” Smith; a son-in-law David Sampson; a grandson Mike Baldwin; brothers, Homer Henderson, Charles Henderson, Don Henderson, and James Henderson; one sister, Bonnie Cowley; brother-in-law Ron Parmelly and a daughter-in-law, Diane Baldwin.
