Joseph Richard “Dick” Merseal was born May 1, 1939 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Joseph Merseal and Lena Pearl (nee Bourbon) Merseal Rousan. He passed on July 15, 2019 at his residence in Richwoods, MO at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife, Jean Marie (nee Godat) Merseal, Richwoods, MO; children, Kimberly (Keith) Bequette, Dittmer, MO; Todd (Jennifer) Merseal, St. Clair, MO; and Kurt (Michelle) Merseal, Steeleville, MO; one sister, Barbara (George) Epple, Hermann, MO; grandchildren, Josh (Courtney) Bequette, Ashley (Brandon) Vickery, Anna, Chloe, Claire, Chelsea, Gunner, and Ty Merseal ; great-grandchildren, Shaelee and Keeley. He was preceded in death by his parents and Lena’s second husband Bern Rousan. Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and owner and operator of Merseal Construction.
