Hazel Ilene Hardin, age 87, passed away peacefully on Satuday, February 21, 2015 at Barclay Friends Assisted Living Facility in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Hazel was born in De Soto, Missouri on October 19, 1927 a daughter to Jason and Margaret (nee Guttler) Moore. She is preceded in death by her husband: Wayne N. Hardin, a daughter: Phyllis A. Bray and a sister: Mae E. Manos. Hazel worked in the Jefferson County Clerks office many years serving as the Chief Deputy Clerk for much of that time. Hazel resided on the farm she dearly loved on Hardin Road in De Soto for nearly 60 years. From 2011 to 2015 she resided in the Barclay Friends Assisted Living Facility. She is survived by one son: John Wesley (Mary) Hardin, Malvern, Pennsylvania; one son-in-law: David A. Bray, Swansea, Illinois; one sister: Bonnie L. Duffner, De Soto, Missouri; and two granddaughters: Victoria and Jacqueline. Our family request is that in lieu of flowers for each person to practice random cts of kindness and to share a smile with others every day.
