George E. Manning, Sr. was born on December 1, 1931 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Earl Daniel “Slick” Manning and Anna Aurelia (nee Bequette) Manning-Garth. He died on July 20, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, MO at the age of 85.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Williams of De Soto, MO; and son, George E. “Corky” (Lisa) Manning, Jr. of Sedgewickville, MO; grandchildren, Aaron (Katie) Williams, Jenna (Patrick Hearst) Williams, Matthew (Jesse Diaz) Williams, Lauren Manning, and Lindsey Manning; great grandchildren, Kaley, Emma, Weston, Lydia, and Barrett; brother, Daniel Manning of De Soto, MO, and sister Mary Pearl Blum of Arnold, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley (nee Spradling) Manning; siblings, John L. “Slick” Manning, Sr., Henry Manning, and Anna Louise Gibbs.
