Brenda Kay Carter of Olympian Village, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at Evelyn’s Hospice House in Creve Coeur, Missouri at the age of 81.
Brenda was born on July 22, 1945, in Stoddard County, Missouri, to Walter and Thelma (nee Williams) Young, who preceded her in death.
Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
On July 10, 1962, Brenda married the love of her life, Jackie L. “Jack” Carter, in Old Mission, Michigan. They shared 64 years of marriage together. Jack survives in Olympian Village.
In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her children, Scott (Cheryl) Carter of De Soto, Pamela (Bob Chambers) Saputo of Ladue, and Eric (Kelly) Carter of Campbell Hill, Illinois.
She was a proud grandmother to Brandon (Natalie) Carter, Chelsea (Nathan White) Carter, Cody (Vivian) Waymire, Logan Saputo, Lucas (Hannah) Carter, and Makayla Carter. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Rhett, Lyla, Henry, Lincoln, Josie, Jackson, and one great-grandchild on the way; and her brother, Donald (Dorothy) Young of Hillsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Young.
Brenda leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
