Fred Dewayne Carr was born on December 13, 1942 in Dublin Township Ohio a son to Thurman and Mary Marguerite (nee Searight) Carr. He died at Mercy Hospital South on August 26, 2023 at the age of 80. He is survived by three daughters: Sherry (Chad) White, Geneva, IN, April (Tim) Morris, De Soto and Deborah Carr, Desloge; one son Fred Carr, II, Valles Mines; eight grandchildren: Megan White, Andrew (Kristi) Vibbert, Donald (Ceonda) Vibbert, Caleb (Madison) Morris, Kylie Morris, Melissa Riggs, Christopher (Maggie) Carr and Alexis Carr; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Riley, Ohio City, OH, Patsy Halliwill, Scott, OH and Leona Parks, Van Wert, OH; one brother Bill Carr, Ohio City, OH; a son in law Andy Vibbert, Decatur, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary Lou (nee Osia) Carr; a daughter Dawn Carr; five sisters: June Chillcote, Helen Stetler, Janet Dawson, Sandy Ziegler and Marjorie Hicks and two brothers: Jim Carr and Dean Carr. Fred had served in the Unites States Army during the Vietnam War. He had retired from the maintenance department at Jefferson College and was a member of St; Rose of Lima Catholic Church and V.F.W. Post #1831.
