Frank A. Filkins was born on January 24, 1913 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Charles A. and Minerva Jane (Pippinger) Filkins. He died on December 20, 2007 at Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington, MO at the age of 94.
He is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Earl) Boyer of De Soto, MO and Judy (Wyman) Boyer of Farmington, MO; two sons Bob Filkins of De Soto, MO, and Roy Filkins of Brentwood, MO; one brother , Derrick Filkins of Springfield, MO; 13 Grandchildren – Michelle Jost, Rich (Joleon) Boyer, Brian (Danielle) Boyer, Nicole (Larry) Pennock, Jamie (Dan) Reynold, Jodi (Paul) Pagano, Todd (Lisa) Filkins, Bob Filkins, Jr., Terry Filkins, Donna Filkins, Tim Filkins, Tom (Karen) Filkins, and Cathy (Steve) Sinkler; and 22 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy J. (nee Taplin) Filkins; one son, Richard Filkins; Four brothers, Lysle, George, Julius, and Lloyd Filkins; four sisters, Roberta Williams, Laura Shunk, Doris Russell, Irene Moses.
