Ethel Cecilia Zimmerly was born in St. Louis on July 28, 1921 one of the twelve children of William and Margaret (nee Mayer) Johnson. She died on October 3, 2015 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 94. She is survived by one daughter: Marsha (Wayne) Lindwedel, Hillsboro; two sons: Charles (Jackie) Zimmerly, Osage Beach, and Leroy Zimmerly, Festus, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marshall Zimmerly who she was married to for 62 years we he died in May of 2002; a son: Richard Zimmerly, a granddaughter: Sandra Zimmerly; a great-granddaughter: Lillian Zimmerly; and a daughter-in-law: Hazel “Alice” Zimmerly; eight sisters: Gladys, Frances, Marie, Loretta, Ida, Bertha, Margaret, and Ilene; and three brothers: Earl, Elmer, and Arthur. She was a LPN working at Jefferson Memorial Hospital when it was began and later in several area nursing homes as well as in the home health care field. She was also a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Rev. Matthew Schultz will officiate the funeral service.
