Elvet Leroy Love was born in St. Clair on April 16, 1942 a son to Dorothy Marie (nee Turner) and Russell Love, Sr.  He died at Mercy Hospital South on December 24, 2021 at the age of 79.  He is survived by his daughters: Lisa (Ken) Welker, Hillsboro and Julie (Denny) Bergstrom, Leavenworth, KS; two sons: Sam (Donna) Cooper, De Soto and David Cooper, Bloomsdale, nine grandchildren: Jennifer Welker, Tyler Welker, Nathan (Kayla) Launius, Danielle (Thomas) Summers, Joe Cooper, Katie Moran, Randy (Anna) Cooper, Scott Johnson and Matthew Helms; nine great grandchildren; a sister Joyce Eisenhauer, Hillsboro and a brother Russell (Cindy) Love Jr. Oklahoma City, OK.   He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Joan (nee Eisenhauer) Love; a sister Lela Ogle and her husband Gene and a brother in law Jerry Eisenhauer.  Elvet was a photographer and avid outdoorsman.  He had worked for the Rocket Newspaper as well as Roop Publishing, had a home improvement business and had retired from Jefferson County Public Works Department as a project manager.  He was a very active member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church where he was an instrumental part of the church building projects and improvements to the church cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to; Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church, 11441 Ware Church Road, Hillsboro, MO  63050.
