Betty was born with a smile on her face and a song in her heart, and she spent her life sharing with all knew and loved her. She served a loving God every day of her life, and now rests in His loving arms. I am truly grateful for every day that I knew her.

Betty always wore a smile. When I moved to Desoto in 1951, I shared many cups of coffee and laughs with Betty and Doris across the alley from my home at Marian' house. Pat Kirn

Wonderful Aunt Betty...undoubtedly the sweetest lady to ever grace DeSoto. The world is a little bit darker right now because her smile is no longer lighting up the place. I have very fond memories of my childhood and Uncle David and Aunt Betty figured prominently in my memories. And the candy, my god the candy. She truly was a shining light of a lady, her booming voice and over-the-top smile just made you want to cuddle up to her knowing that for however long we were visiting her, we were going to be alright. No matter how bad things were in my childhood mind, she made EVERYTHING bright and sunny. While I'm not one to lend myself to belief in God and the afterlife, if it IS real, besides my mom and Dad, I wanna see Aunt Betty more than anyone else. Because if I'm dead, she's gonna make me feel good about it. She could actually make someone feel OK about being dead. She's that good. Just knowing you made me a better person. I'll see you on Friday.

My aunt Betty was the greatest she was sooo sweet always having snacks and goodies for my sister and I every time we came for a visit! She has such a special soul and will be greatly missed!!! uncle Dave I am so very sorry for your loss you were blessed to spend so many years with such a special person. When I moved home from Chicago and my dad was taking care of aunt Betty I would go with him sometimes she thought I was one of girlfriends that came over to do her hair and nails and then take her out on the town...deep down that broke my heart that such a disease could do such a thing to a dear soul but I did her hair and nails and when I was done she looked me in the eyes and said thank you HEATHER!!! All I could do was cry I wonder if she knew all along who I was??? Aunt Betty I love you and will treasure all the wonderful memories we shared you will always hold a special place in my heart :)!!! To my family I am so sorry for your loss and if there is anything you need please do not hesitate to contact me! I love you all and your in my thoughts and prayers!!! Love always and forever-heather pouliezos

My thoughts are with you Dave, Becky, Patti and all. Of course, you know that Betty was like a second mom to me. I have so many wonderful memories of her and how she was always so thoughtful to my parents. I always appreciated that so much. I will miss her and now the sky will shine a little brighter because there is another angel in heaven! Jane Agers, 228 Patterson Ave, Syracuse NY 13219
