Elaine Ida Ames was born on February 5, 1929 in Jefferson County, MO. She was the daughter of Edward & Edna (nee Junge) Kuhlmann. She died on September 28, 2010 in De Soto, MO at the age of 81.
She is survived by her daughter Angela “Angie” (Edward) Powers of De Soto, MO, and step-daughter, Nelda (Charles) Johnson of Warsaw, MO; one brother, Brice (Lavine) Kuhlmann of Giddings, TX; one grandson, Jacob Ames; two step-granddaughters, Amy Middleton & Susan (Gary) Treadwell; and step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John “Jack” Ames; two sisters, Melba Irwin & Dorothy Manning.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
