Edwin Lee “Duke” Weiss was born October 23, 1953 a son to Orlin Edward and Erna P. (nee Noack) Weiss. He died at his Hillsboro home on July 19, 2014 at the age of 60. He is survived by his mother who lives in Hillsboro; his wife: Sharon (nee Alvey) Weiss, Hillsboro; three children: Sarah Sanderson, De Soto, Kimbra (Michael) Birtley, Imperial, and Nick (Nikki) Martin, Wentzville; five grandchildren: Cole, Sophia, Morgan, Keidence, and Evelyn; brother, Ed “Butch” (Connie) Weiss of Hillsboro, MO; and two sisters, Edna “Cookie” (Wayne) Jordan of De Soto, MO; and Edith “Edie” (Joe) Belanger of Hillsboro, MO; a sister-in-law: Chris Alvey, St. Peter’s, and three brothers-in-law: Dennis Alvey, St. Charles, Ozzi Alvey, Fenton, and Rich Alvey, Hannibal. He is preceded in death by his father. He owned and operated ELW Auto Service in Hillsboro. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Hillsboro Christian Church Mission Fund. Andy Weaver and Ken Vogel will officiate the services.
