Edith Winckel
April 13, 1928 - December 28, 2007
Edith W. Winckel was born April 13, 1928 in Hickman, KY a daughter to Charles & Emma (Mansfield) Cox. She died Dec. 28, 2007 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 79.
She is survived by four daughters: Marg (Pat) Jackson, De Soto; Karen (Ed) Schuh, Hillsboro; Melinda (David) McGougan, Florissant; Cheryl (Barry) Byers, Washington. Two sons: Bob (Pam) Winckel, De Soto; and Bruce (Laurie) Winckel, Bonne Terre. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: William Brawley, Charles, Art, and David Cox; and three sisters: Marge Howe, Mildred Bright, and Dootie Doll Cox.
Ms Winckel served in the Army in World War II and was a homemaker.
