Edwin Lee “Ed” Bridges was born August 31, 1939 in Festus, MO. He died on May 31, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO at the age of 71 years 9 months.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Zeleny) Bridges, De Soto, MO; one daughter, Laura (Randy) Cole, Hillsboro, MO; one son, Geoffrey Bridges, De Soto, MO; siblings, James D. “J.D.” (Kay) Wilson, Cordova, TN, Mark E. (Bev) Wilson, De Soto, MO, Larry “Red” Wilson, Festus, MO, and John (Karen) Wilson, Fenton, MO; brother-in-law, Gerry Rosenzweig, Montgomery, AL; step-father, James M. (Marie) Wilson, Troy, MO; grandchildren, Abby & Brett Cole.
He is preceded in death by his father Howard Ross Bridges his mother Dorothy Pearl (nee Courtway) Bridges Wilson and one sister, Linda Rosenzweig.
Ed served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam; he also taught school at St. Rose of Lima School and De Soto Public School; he also worked for Southwestern Bell.
