Earline was such a joy to be around. I have fond memories of being a youth in the church ,and doing many fun things with their family. What a Christian life to pattern one's life after. Paul Pierce Louisville, Ky

There is never a right time to give them up. Sympathy to the family. Earline always greeted Bob & I with a smile and hug as she had us sign the guest book at church . We will miss that wonderful smile. Her recipies in the Church of God cookbooks are valued. Geri Olson Dial

Seventy years of loving and being loved by this beautiful woman--she made me feel that I was the most important person in her life every time we were together. God blessed my life when he made her a part of it. Thanks Earline for enriching my life. Mary Alice Weber

I join those who have spoken of receiving a warm welcome at the door of the Desoto Church of God. I have often wished that every church had a greeter with her warmth and welcoming spirit. My condolences to all of the Berry/Johnson/Long family members. Maybe when we join her in heaven she will be waiting at the gate to welcome us, just like she has done for so many years here on earth! For sure, she contributed to many people making a decision to follow Christ by making them feel so welcome at His house! Carol Lynne Olson Usher, Ohio

Earline has a special place in my heart. She was always so kind to me, both as a child and as an adult. I have lots of warm memories of her welcoming all of us church kids into her home and it was always a joy to be greeted when I came back to DeSoto ChoG for visits. My prayers are with all the family as you both celebrate her life and grieve your loss. We'll all miss her.

Will miss you Earline and those chats about Cardinals baseball between Sunday school and church each week. We know you and Patty and so many others who have gone on to be with the Lord are having a wonderful joyous reunion in Heaven, but there will be a very empty spot in our lives with you gone. May God bless your family and give us all comfort and peace in knowing we will meet again one day. Love you! -- Winnie & Doc

So sorry for your loss. Earline was a sewing buddy and we always had a great time with lots of stories for her family. She made beautiful personalized gifts for her family and friends. She had a beautiful heart and love for others and now God has her in his loving arms. Peace.

Earline was an angel here on earth and now she's moved onward and upward! She never failed to say a kind word to me starting when I was just a kid at DCCG and even later in life, long after we moved to Lake of the Ozarks. Earline was a very special lady. She touched many people and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I am saddened to hear of this family's loss. When I was a senior in high school in 1982-1983, I was the secretary at Team Realty. Earline was a wonderful woman who brightened MANY of my days. My condolences.

When we first started going to DCCOG, Earline greeted us at the door with a beautiful smile and asked us to sign the guest book. She did that every Sunday for the first three months we went after that day and we always got a little giggle out of it. She was such a sweet woman and a beautiful soul. Our church family is really going to miss her so much. Thanks for making us feel like we belonged, Earline!

Nick and me are so sorry for your loss of a great person and friend. I remember that Earline could make the best strawberry pies and frozen strawberry jam. We shared alot of time at Gannon's cafteria and also in our homes. So sorry we cannot attend services as we are in Tx. For the winter. She will be missed. NICK AND MARY BLACKFORD
