He was definitely a good husband, father and friend. He never met a stranger no matter who they were. A man who DeSoto will miss him and his smiling face. Praying for the family and especially his Lou. What a couple they were.

What an amazing man! You will be missed. You had such an illustrious career in dentistry (thanks for being the Weber family dentist!), a gallant career as a pilot in WWII, a terrific husband to Lou for 75 years as we all watched you grow in your love for each other and marveled at your adventurous spirit for fun and games of all kinds. You were such a great dad and ever-the-unofficial cheerleader for DeSoto Dragons teams. We, the “Dragon Ladies”(Suzanne’s class of ‘74), we always appreciated you and Lou always showing up at games and loved your presence and enthusiasm. You will still be loved in our hearts and souls and cherished in our memories, “Doc Watson”, and, of course, Suzanne’s dad. Thank you for loving us back!! Heaven gained a treasure beyond imagination.

It is with a heavy heart that I join all of Uncle Bills children grandchildren and great grandchildren in this sorrowful time. My heart aches for the pain of all who knew him. Kentucky has lost a most noted Kentuckian and will be missed at UK basketball and Ellis Park. He truly embodied what a gentleman should be. With love prayers and hugs to all. Mrs Frankie (Ruth Ann) Clayton
