Dorothy E. Whitehead was born in De Soto on February 10, 1935 a daughter to Louis Thomas and Hester (nee Vance) Whitehead. She died at the Hillcrest Care Center on April 23, 2015 at the age of 81. She is survived by two sons: Larry Whitehead and Johnny Whitehead, both of De Soto; eight grandchildren: Gary, Cody, Riley, Dustin, Aubrey, Larry, Jr., Ron, III and Corey; one sister: Betty Whitehead, De Soto, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Pauline Cobb, one son: Marvin Whitehead; one sister: Bernice Reynolds; and three brothers: Paul, Louis, and Charles Whitehead.
