Dorothy Jean Lucas died on August 20, 2017 at her De Soto home at the age of 82. She was born March 1, 1935 in De Soto. Dorothy was known for her chocolate chip cookies, loved to crochet and quilt, and was an avid reader. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church-De Soto. She is survived by three children: Debi (Ken) Kloosterman, Trufant, MI, Theresa (Ronald) McKenzie, Nokomis, FL, and William J. “Bill” (Brenda) Lucas, Fenton; four grandchildren: Kelly, Terry, Mackenzie, and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren: Morgan, Kendall, Tori, Michael, Lucas, Cooper, and Isaac; one sister; Bev Agers, De Soto; one brother: James (Sue) Woolsey, North Branch, MI; a sister-in-law: Jean Hobson, De Soto; and a brother-in-law: Darrell Girardier, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her husband Francis J. “Frank” Lucas; her mother: Florence (nee Johnston) Woolsey Dollar; her father: Robert E. Hobson; one sister: Norma Girardier; and one brother Robert C. “Chalk Eye” Hobson, Sr. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: First Assembly of God Church 12635 State Road 21, De Soto, MO 63020. Revs. Ron Duncan and Derek Jones will officiate the funeral service
