Donald Hetherington
August 8, 1924 - February 7, 2015
Donald A. Hetherington was born on August 8, 1924 in Chester, IL. He was the son of Guy & Willa (nee Muench) Hetherington. He died on February 7, 2015 in Crystal City, MO at the age of 90.
He is survived by his children, Donald (Joy) Hetherington of Festus, MO and Darla (and the late Bill) Hatley of Chase City, VA; 7 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren; and a sister June Dewey of Pinckneyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Melba (nee Popejoy) Hetherington; a daughter, Donna June Price, and two grandson, Danny Hatley and Brian DeRousse.
Mr. Hetherington was retired from Monsanto Chemical and National Lead Company; a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church; a former alderman of Olympian Village; and shop steward for the Chemical Workers Union Local 1744. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Elevator Fund, 13270 Hwy CC, De Soto, MO 63020.
