Delbert Ray Smith was born August 21, 1961 in St. Louis a son to Dale and Lorna Fay (nee Raines) Smith. He died at his De Soto home on May 10, 2014 at the age of 52. He is survived by his parents who live in De Soto; his wife: Kim (nee Olgelvie) Smith, De Soto; three children: Hannah (Thomas “T.J.”) Robison, De Soto, Aimee Smith, Springfield, MO, and Nathan Smith, De Soto; two grandsons: Aaron and Bradley Robison; a sister: Deborah (Larry) Young, De Soto; and two brothers: Alan Smith, De Soto, and Tim (Amanda) Smith, De Soto. He was employed by Gannett Corporation doing newspaper graphics and was a member of the Rose of Sharon Full Gospel Temple in De Soto. Delbert was part of a talented family and enjoyed creating music with the Smith family. Brother Carl McKalip will officiate the funeral sevice.
