Wilma Delores “Dee” Thompson was born February 4, 1936 in De Soto a daughter to Lawrence and Norma (nee Baker) Walker. She died September 27, 2013 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 77. She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Frederick Alfred “Joe” Thompson, Festus; one daughter: Kay (Brian) Bolle, Valles Mines; one son: Grant (Mistie) Thompson, Ellisville; six grandchildren: Cheryl (Sgt. Speedy) Gonzales, Jennifer (Rodney) Wallner, Joseph (Brandi) Bolle, Faith Thompson, Gabrielle Thompson, and Zachary Thompson; great-grandchildren: Aubrey Kay, Nadia, Darian, Cheyan, Skylar, and Mckenzie; and one sister: Jean (Sandy) Walker, Kehei, Maui, Hawaii. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She worked up unitl her recent retirement at several pharmacies in Festus/Crystal City including Pratte’s Pharmacy, Crystal City Rexall Drug, and for the last 17 years the Festus Wal-Mart Pharmacy. She was also a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church Festus/Crystal City and an all around “great Wife, Mom, and Grandmother”. Rev. Gary Gray will officiate the services with burial to follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto.
