Cletus William Niemann was born April 10, 1925 in Valmeyer, IL a son to Joseph Frederick Niemann and Ursula Kohnz.  He died on April 17, 2011 at the Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto at the age of 86.  He is survived by a son Jeff (Lynn) Niemann, Smithville, MO; four grandchildren: Derick, Paul, Chatama, and Pattama; and three great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara Ann (nee Treptow) Niemann; a son Bruce Niemann; a daughter Susan Sherin; and a brother Roy Niemann.  Mr Neimann retired from Union Electric on May 1, 1980 as a superintendent. He  was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, a fourth degree member of the Cardinal Glennon Assembly of Knights of Columbus, Amvets Post #48, and the 97th & 108th SeaBee Organization.  Fr. Alex Anderson will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will be at 1:00pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Association.
