Clarence E. “Eddie” Wideman was born in Richwoods on May 29, 1937 a son to Clarence B. and Maggie (nee Cordia) Wideman. He died on June 17, 2023 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Karen S. (nee Hibbits) Wideman; two daughters: Cheryl Haws, Arnold and Debra Wideman, Festus; two grandchildren: Colby Daugherty and Tristan (Goldi) Daugherty; three great grandchildren; Jaxson, Kash and Freyja and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son Clarence K. Wideman and two sisters: Wilma Minx and Phyllis Greenlee. Eddie had retired as a laborer for Bloomsdale Excavating and was a proud member of Laborer’s Local #110. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 4400 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63110.
