To the family of Christopher Vance Without a doubt, death as truly an enemy, especially when it touches someone so young. Having recently lost a close family member myself, I can identify with that type of loss. I have been able to find comfort in the words found at Revelation 21:3,4: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” In the not too distant future, our loving God, Jehovah, will reverse all the effects of sin and death. We can be confident in that promise.

I saw this sad news just today. I had Chris in a training class at Convergys, and remember how hard working and earnest he was. I'm not surprised he became a supervisor, as he was always such an approachable, easy going and solid young man. I'm saddened to learn of his passing, but am also better off for having known Chris in the time we did have.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are finding comfort in the support of many friends and family. Something that soothes my heart are the beautiful thoughts found in the Bible at Jeremiah 29:11,12. These verses assure that God's thoughts toward us are of peace and hope. Included in this hope is the promise that we will see our loved ones again (John 5:28,29). Jesus gave us a preview of the comfort and joy that such occasions will bring when he resurrected individuals in the first century (John chapter 11). I hope these thoughts will soothe your hearts as well. Sincerely, Robin

Chris was an awesome supervisor at Spectrum! He and I talked about his sister and her child a lot and all of their road trips and antics 🙂 He will definitely be missed and world will be a little less beautiful without him. Keeping his family in my prayers!

I recently left Spectrum and Chris was my supervisor at the time. Even though I had rough times working there, I was disheartened to hear about his passing. We were always talking about going through anxiety and different ways we coped. He taught me a lot. We also talked about video games and superhero movies ALL THE TIME. I still can't believe he's gone. I will miss you, Chris.
