Cheryl Ann Murdick was born in De Soto on February 10, 1954 a daughter to Helen M. (nee Moore) and James Lee Houston, Sr. She died at her De Soto home on December 10, 2021 at the age of 67. She is survived by her husband Gary Murdick. Gary and Cheryl were married on November 23, 1989 in Crystal City. She is also survived by her children: Jerry (Kirstin) Palmer, Oakville, Rick Causey, Jr., De Soto and Elizabeth (Bill) Hollis, Festus; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Cindy Houston, De Soto and a step brother Bill (Donna) Lucas, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her parents; her step father Grover Lucas; a son Zach (Michelle Heffron survives) Murdick and three brothers: James Houston, Jr., David Houston, and Karl Houston. Cheryl loved spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and decorating her home for Holidays.
