Betty L. Armstrong was born on June 7, 1925 in Sedalia, MO. She was born as Minnie Burns to Edward H. & Della Burns; and at a young age she was adopted by John & Jennie (Burgan) Bechler and became known as Betty Lou Bechler. She died on March 23, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO at the age of 85.
She is survived by her sons, Robert “Bob” (Sherry) Armstrong of Hillsboro, MO & Steve (Renee) Armstrong of Fenton, MO; two grandchildren, Lisa (Jack) Young & Steven Alexander “Alex” Armstrong; one sister, Pearl McCluskey of Berkley, MO; one sister-in-law, Grace Lyons of Fredericktown, MO; former co-worker and friend, Dennis Rose.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Armstrong; one sister, Hazel McConnell & brother, Edmond Slezak.
Mrs. Armstrong was a custodian at Hillsboro High and also worked as a cook at the Hillsboro Cafe.
Dr. Rev. David Webster will officiate the service. Burial will be at Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, MO.
