Bernice Elizabeth “Shorty” Jones was born December 26, 1925 in Ste. Genevieve, MO. She was the daughter of Garfield and Mary Thomure. She died on January 28, 2013 at her residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her husband, Ralph P. Jones, De Soto, MO; their children, Dale (Karen) Jones, Pevely, MO; Kimberly (John) Zensen, Imperial, MO; Robyn (Bart) McKinney, Hillsboro, MO; Trudy (Myron) Johnson, De Soto, MO; Tracy (Ginger) Jones, De Soto, MO; Scott (Cathy) Jones, De Soto, MO; Laurie (Mike) Minicky, Imperial, MO; and Drew Jones, Hillsboro, MO; sisters, Lee Voruz, St. Louis, MO, Mary Timmerberg, St. Louis, MO, and Loraine (Bob) Barylski, St. Louis, MO; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. She was a beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents.
