- Interment: Calvary Cemetery, De Soto, MO
Barbara Ann Lewis was born in De Soto on March 30, 1944 a daughter to William Juyel and Stella Mae (nee Pashia) Whitter. She passed peacefully at her De Soto home on December 24, 2020 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Russell E. “Dickie” Lewis; four children: Don (Dawn) Lewis, Antigo WI, Denise (Shawn) McCarty, De Soto, Charlene (Kevin) DeClue, Hillsboro, and Katherine (Chris) Meyer, De Soto; six grandchildren: Amanda (Jeremy) Bachmeyer, Josh (Steph) Lewis, Aaron (Alicia) Meyer, Tyler Lewis, Kirsten Meyer, and Rachel McCarty; and three great grandchildren: Bennett Tolsma, Allana Bachmeyer, and Logan Bachmeyer; a sister Jane Owens, Escondido, CA, a sister in law Jean Whitter; and two brothers-in-law: Jim Tidwell and Don Byers. She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Donna Tidwell, Ruby Byers, and Rose Byers; three brothers: Paul Whitter, Johnny Whitter, and Dale Whitter; sisters in law Jan Whitter and Gerri Whitter and brothers in law Earl Byers and Virgil Owens. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
