Wanda Irene Smith was born February 15, 1941 in Valles Mines, MO. She was the daughter of Wyman Haverstick and Freida (nee Willett) Haverstick Wilson. She passed on March 1, 2018 at her residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Eldon “Bud” Smith, De Soto, MO; children, Tammy (Mike) Biggers, Bonne Terre, MO; Gail Porter, De Soto, MO; Lori Smith, De Soto, MO; Lisa (James) Drew, Barnhart, MO; and Heather Porter, De Soto, MO; grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Kyla (Aaron) Morales, Megan Smith, Landon Porter, Emma Drew, Carter Drew, Griffin Porter, Lisa Beers, and Valerie Beers; great-grandchildren, Alley, Averi, Hailey, and Hunter Schnieder; one sister, Norma Campbell, Festus, MO; a half-brother, Gary (Bambi) Haverstick, De Soto, MO; and a sister-in-law, Betty Adams, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Andrew Porter; one brother, Ray “Dude” Haverstick; a brother-in-law, Frank Campbell; and two sons-in-law: Robert Porter and Charlie Beers. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and loved being with her grandchildren and her pet Chows Rudy and Fuzzy. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd Street, De Soto, MO 63020. Rev. Dr. G. Michael Rose will officiate the funeral service.
