Wanda Lee Copeland was born in De Soto on July 12, 1928 a daughter to Frank G. and Virgie Hazel (nee Hawkins) Williams. She died on December 30, 2014 at the Southbrook Nursing Center in Farmington at the age of 86. She is survived by two daughters: Jeanne (Steve) Wallace, Fredericktown, and Marta (Barry) Moulder, Baton Rouge, LA; three sons: Karl (Willa) Copeland, Fredericktown, Kim (Debbie) Copeland, Little Rock, AR, and Scott (Carol) Copeland, Baton Rouge, LA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Shirley (Dean) McGee, De Soto; a son-in-law: Gary Doyen, De Soto; and a sister-in-law: Ann (Harold) Williams Kemper, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: David Copeland; one daughter: Dava Lee Doyen; one sister: Geraldine Brame; and one brother: Frank Williams. While living in De Soto she had worked for the telephone company and while living in Baton Rouge she worked at a Sears Department Store but her greatest enjoyment came from raising her children and making a home for her family. Steve Stillman, Preferred Hospice Chaplain, will officiate the funeral service.
