Violet D. Stroup was born March 13, 1923 in Frumet, MO. She was the daughter of George F. and Margaret (nee Rulo) Taylor. She died on October 6, 2016 at The Villa’s in De Soto, MO at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children, Judy (Tom) Simon, Festus, MO; Vickie (David) Bohn, Cahokia, IL; Richard (Chris) Stroup, East Carondelet, IL; Randy (Cathy) Stroup, Londell, MO; and Tammy (Gary) Anderson, Wildwood, MO; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Austin H. Stroup, Jr.; siblings, Ada Taylor, Marie Taylor, Harold “Bud” Taylor, Rose Maness, Helen Sparks, Fannie Maness, Evelyn Taylor, Buck Taylor, Gloria Estelle Martin, Don Taylor, June Costello, and Ima Jean Taylor, and two infant brothers,one grandson, Timothy Stroup.
