Violet E. Byron was born September 13, 1923 in Gainesville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Marion and Nellie Thorn. She passed on January 31, 2018 at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto, MO at the age of 94 years. She is survived by her children, Mike (Vicky) Christopher, De Soto, MO; and Gary (Bobbie) Christopher, Bonne Terre, MO; grandchildren, Cody (Dawn Richey) Christopher, De Soto, MO and Drew (Julianne) Christopher, De Soto, MO; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Alexa Christopher. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Arlie Valentine; first husband, Chester “Chet” Christopher; second husband, Ellis H. Byron; one daughter, Phyllis Christopher; one sister, Lillie M. Stevens; and a grandson, Matthew Christopher. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 2000 Grace Way, De Soto, MO 63020.
