Sylvia Mae Wood was born December 26, 1919 in St. Joe, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Josiah E. and Velia Velety (nee Keeling) Coleman. She died on May 23, 2013 at her residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children, Donald Edward Wood, Georgetown, TX; Dorothy Mae Clampitt, Hillsboro, MO; and Gearldine Thelma Wood, De Soto, MO; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-granchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Marion Wood; one daughter, Earldine Joyce Loveless; one son, Gary Joe Wood; one grandson, Andrew Cecil Loveless; siblings, Virgil, Violet, and A. Cecil Coleman; step brother and sister, Delma Woffard and Howard Gearhart; daughter-in-law, Helen Wood; and son-in-law, Jerry Loveless. Sylvia was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Festus, MO.
