Shirley Ruth Stephens, age 86, died on February 2, 2019 at Crystal Oaks in Crystal City. She was born March 15, 1932 in De Soto to Thomas Scotia and Rosa Mae (Stroup) Bradford. She was one of 12 children and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Elmer Curtis Stephens; her parents; four brothers; Ray, Roy, Earl, and Edgar Bradford; and five sisters: Merta Vaughn, Emma Bailey, Bertha Haverstick, Hazel Dicus, and Glenda Hogan. She is survived by her daughter Connie (Al) Krizek, De Soto, her son Terry (Martha) Stephens, De Soto, her grandson Mark (Jessica) Stephens, De Soto, her granddaughter Susan (Danny) Ferrell, Pevely, one sister Margie Bray, Republic and one brother James Bradford, Anderson, IN.
