Sarah Ruth Queen was born in St. Louis on July 22, 1928 a daughter to James and Effie (nee Merritt) Scott. She died at her De Soto home on November 26, 2023 at the age of 95. She is survived by two children: Branda K. (Mark) Lorenz, West Lafayette, IN and Edwin L. (Martha) Queen, Jr., De Soto; seven grandchildren: Ben Lorenz, Adam (Eileen) Lorenz, Brad (Lisa) Queen, Chad (Kim) Queen, Kristi (Jason) Bourisaw, Jennifer (Mike) Golightly and Matt (Rachel) Queen; 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edwin L. Queen, Sr.; two sisters: Frances (Herbert) Kuhl and Earlene (Earl) Edwards and three brothers Ralph (Audrey) Scott, Jesse (Reva) Scott and Donald Scott.
