Ruth E. Tweedy was born on December 21, 1942 a daughter to Orax and Nota (nee Moore) Pond. She died at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson on January 20, 2018 at the age of 75. She is survived by her children: Kim (Steve) Allen, Hillsboro and Deon (the late Sheila) Tweedy, De Soto; four grandchildren: Steven (Casey) Allen, Tyler (Emily Reando) Allen, Jessica Tweedy and Nickolas Tweedy; three great-grandchildren: Briar Allen, Tucker Allen and Bella Allen; one sister Carolyn Shanks, Mapaville; and a sister-in-law Mary Pond, Maryland Heights. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hearald Tweedy; two brothers: Joseph Pond and Gaylord Pond, and her brother-in-law Russell Shanks. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia Association. Greg McCord will officiate the funeral service.
