I was saddened to hear of Uncle Dicks passing. My prayers are with all of his family. He was blessed with a long life, his wife Aunt Barb and many children, grand kids and great grand kids. My memories of visiting my mom’s family revolved around yearly trips by our entire family (we were a family of eight) and our visits with Grandma Lewis, great - Grandma Lewis and great Grandma Villmer. Of course that entailed seeing all our aunts and uncles and cousins . I was a pre -teen and Uncle Dick was a teenager. I was interested in the music he listened to and his skill with the jitterbug craze dancing. One annual visit I asked him if he would teach me to jitterbug- he did! All these years later, whenever I hear the music of that era, or act silly jitter bugging around to those tunes- I smile and think kindly of what a gift my Uncle Dick gave me. My sincere hope is that he’s dancing in heaven with those that have gone before him.

I have great memories of our annual trip to Desoto, six kids packed in a station wagon. Going to visit Granma Lewis and our cousins. One memory i always recall is playing softball with Uncle Dick, i think it was in a vacant lot across from grandma house, maybe it was down the street. It\'s always tough when we lose a cherish member our family, but I think I can speak for the Marsden family u have our sympathy and condolences. As i get older, whenever I Think of the trips to Desoto, Aunt Barb and Uncle Dick are always part of that memory
