Ronald David Ramsey was born in De Soto on March 14, 1950 a son to David Gilbert and Myrta Mae (nee Haas) Ramsey. He died at his rural De Soto home on February 17, 2024 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife Helen (nee Kemper) Ramsey, De Soto. Ron and Helen were married at Charter Baptist Church on July 12, 1969. Ron is also survived by one daughter Christina “Tina” Tidwell, Bonne Terre; two sons: William “Will” (Amy) Ramsey, Maplewood and Robert (Lindsey) Ramsey, De Soto; his grandchildren: Alexis (Alex) Husenica, Cassandra Tidwell, Liam Ramsey, Jayden Turntine, Eli Coffman and Easton Vawter; one great grandson Austin Husenica; two sisters Loretta Kay McEntire, Park Hills and Tammy (Mike) Trenary, Potosi and one brother Larry Ramsey, Park Hills. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Annette Ramsey and one sister Karen (Steve) Barlow. Ron had worked as a machinist for Pioneer Machine, a service technician for McCloud Pest Control and most recently for the maintenance department of Briarwood Lake.
