Robert George “Bob” Speidel was born November 30, 1931 in De Soto, MO a son to George A. and Loretta V. (nee Siever) Speidel. He died on January 6, 2013 at his residence in Spring Valley, CA at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his children, James Andrew “Andy” Speidel, La Mesa, CA; Karyn Elizabeth Speidel, San Diego, CA; and Jamie Anne Curran, Spring Valley, CA; four grandchildren, Brady Christopher Curran; Rylie Samantha Curran; Alec Frank Morgan; and Deviana Kaleigh Speidel. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Rita Wibbenmeyer. Bob was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a retired English Teacher and Basketball Coach having coached basketball at Jefferson College from 1969 to 1971 as well as at the high school and collegiate level in Arizona and California.
