Richard Arthur Haas was born on September 10, 1945 in St. Louis, MO; the son of Herman & Barbara (nee Vaughn) Haas of De Soto, MO. He died on August 7, 2015 at his residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 69.
Richard is survived by his mother, Barbara; his wife Patricia “Patty” (nee Boyer) Haas of De Soto; two daughters, Jodi (Chuck) Cruts of Barnhart, MO; and Katie (Brian) Langston of De Soto, MO; three sisters, Judy (Joe) Warden of De Soto, MO; Carol (David) Agers of De Soto, MO; and Susan (Alan) Politte of Festus, MO; Sister-in-law, Rita (Jim) DePolito, St. Peters, MO, and brother-in-law Mark Boyer, De Soto, MO; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley (Luke), Justin (Valerie), Allison, A.J., and Riley; 3 great grandchildren, Kaden, Kolton, and Kenzington.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother-in-law, Ron Boyer.
Richard served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sgt. from the United States Air Force Reserves. He was manager of Vaughn-Haas Firestone, retired from Plaza Tire and most recently was a part-time employee of the Hillbilly Garage. Richard was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus; and AmVets Post #48.
