Richard Ernest Gonzales was born February 10, 1953 in Fowler, CO. He was the son of Adrian and Donaciana (nee Padilla) Gonzales. He died on May 31, 2021 at his residence in Festus, MO. He is survived by his Mother, Donaciana Gonzales of Denver, CO; wife, Diane M. (nee Schlett) Gonzales, Festus, MO: three children, Jennie Gonzales, Denver, CO; Jason Gonzales, St. Louis, MO; and Adrian (Tommie Jo) Gonzales, Hillsboro, MO; grandchildren, Landon, Macie, and Ryan Gonzales and Rebecca and Olivia Bonsell; siblings, Pauline (the late Louis) Cruz, Denver, CO; Andrew (the late Paula) Gonzales, Denver, CO; Lorraine Gonzales, Denver, CO; Norman (Traci) Gonzales, Denver, CO; Gary (Pam) Gonzales, Denver, CO; Albert (Marialena) Gonzales, Denver, CO; Kathy (Leroy) Garcia, Denver, CO; Lloyd (Louise) Gonzales, Denver, CO; brothers and sisters-in-law are Karen (Daniel) Wood, De Soto, MO; Michael (Sandie) Schlett, Biloxi, MS; Mary Ann (the late David) Blum, De Soto, MO: Jeannie (Don) Goff, De Soto, MO; William “Bill” (Crezilda) Schlett, Rineyville, KY; Sara (Heath) Allison, Festus, MO; Jeff Schlett, Herculaneum, MO; Glenda Schlett, Festus, MO; Juanita (Tom) Kindred, Birmingham, AL; Brad Schlett, De Soto, MO; Sasha Schlett, St. Louis, MO; Shirley Schlett, St. Peters, MO; Andrea Schlett, House Springs, MO; and Leona (Tony) Antoine, St. Charles, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was retired U.S. Army; a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Hillsboro, MO; and a member of the Knights of Columbus #1185, De Soto, MO.
