Raymond J. Horton was born Aug.10, 1916 in Belgrade a son to Jessie and Essie (Neal) Horton.  He died on March 23, 2012 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 95.  He is survived by his children: Ken (Judy) Horton, Anthony N.M., Ed (Dolores) Horton, Moweaqua, IL, Mike (Brenda) Horton, Cadet, Patricia (Jack) Riches, Indianapolis, IN, Carl (Debbie) Horton, Blackwell, Wayne (Margaret) Horton, De Soto, and Les Horton, De Soto;
one step son: Walter (Fran) Doerner, Baton Rouge, LA; and one brother: Walter (Ruth) Horton, Elvins and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by two sons: Donald and Dale Horton.   He was a member of Meredian Lodge #2 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Body, York Rite Bodies, Moolah Shrine Temple,  O.E.S. Chapter #442, and the First Baptist Church-De Soto.  He retired as a blacksmith from the Missouri Pacific Railroad and also served as herd manager for the Bonne Terre Hereford Farm.  Rev. Dr. Jeremy Muniz will officiate the funeral service with interment to follow in the St. Francios Memorial Park.
