Dear Betty and Andrea, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you cope with the passing of your husband and grandfather. He was a kind and gentle man, and no one who saw you together could doubt that you were a devoted and loving couple, strong in your faith and family, and committed to your community. God be with you now and always.

Thoughts and prayers to the whole family. I will always fondly remember my time in DeSoto and knowing the Olson family.

Where to even begin with the respect I have for Blaine and his wife Betty. They were the youth counselors at the First Church of God when I was there. Not only did they give guidance to the youth, their singing at the Church was so inspiring, it still brings chills. "How Great Thou Art" will always bring memories of Blaine. He always remarked he didn't sing that great, but the feeling and Love was so strong he didn't need to be a vocalist to show his Love for God . De Soto has lost one of the best and our sympathy goes out to Betty, her family and all of De Soto for this tremendous loss.

Mr. Olson will always have a special place in my heart. Always a smile and a hug growing up in church. If more people in the world would be like him it would be a much happier place. So sorry for your loss.

DE SOTO HAS LOST ANOTHER TREASURE IN THE PASSING OF BLAINE OLSON. IT WAS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO SPEAKE TO HIM.
