Norma Fay Lewis Jarvis was born in De Soto on March 16, 1921 a daughter to James Edwin and Julia May Charlotte (nee Ruppel) Lewis. She died on February 10, 2021 at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis County at the age of 99. She is survived by her children: Fay Griffith, Hillsboro, Jackie (James) Garner, Herculaneum, David (Barbara) Jarvis, Hematite, and Larry Jarvis, Simi Valley, CA, twelve grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norman O. Jarvis, son-in-law Everett Griffith, a grandson Norman Griffith, and her siblings:  Nana Mae Goetz, Virginia Jones, Marjorie Crow Diedrich,  Betty Hubbard Rasico, Roy Lee Lewis, William “Bud” Lewis, and Jack Lewis. Norma owned and operated a Norma’s Beauty Shop in De Soto for many years. She was a member of D. A. R. and the First Christian Church of Hematite.
