- Visitation: Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
- Service: Friday, March 20, 2020 at Noon from the Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel officiated by Barry Lakes.
- Interment with military honors at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Nile Franklin McKinney was born in Irvin, KY on March 12, 1933 a son to Plesant and Bertha (nee Cole) McKinney. He died at his De Soto home on March 14, 2020 at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife Bertha (nee LaChance) McKinney; his children: Wendell (Robin Sue) McKinney, Robin (Bob Cooper) Dayton, Audrey (William) Ruch, Jeffery “Scott” (Lisa) McKinney, Danny (Laura Lane) McKinney, Sandra (Mike) Suttles, Timothy (Dawn Hawkins) McKinney, and Tabitha Melton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son Dale McKinney and a son-in-law Ricky Melton. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had retired as a custodian for the Grandview School District. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
